Dear Friends,
 
I hope and pray that you are all having a great week.  Finally the hot weather streak is broken, and the integrity of the season is restored.  Wonderful!!!
 
I’ll heading over to Denver tomorrow for this weekend’s conference at New Life Church in the city.  Please pray for an effective ministry and a great renewal for the whole congregation. 
 
I want to remind you all not to forget to respond to the ministry volunteer request.  Your faith will grow as you take a part in the ministry.  It will deepen your sense of belonging in the community and give you a healthy sense of ownership.  Perhaps for some, the idea of committing to something on a regular basis is scary; but this is often what it takes to make your participation in the Lord’s church regular and steady.  This will be a great thing for your spiritual growth.  I certainly don’t encourage you to do too much in the ministry, but a moderate, yet a focused and dedicated ministry will be a great nourishment to your spirit.  So I encourage you wholeheartedly to choose at least one area of service for you.  Your ministry will be coordinated and assisted by a team leader and most likely you will be given a managable amount of work.
 
I’m attaching the sheet I passed out to you last Sunday.  Please look it over and let me know what you would like to volunteer for simply by responding to this email.  I look forward to hearing from you.
